Grand older homes, several fireplaces apiece, and most of them barely lit. We sweep, inspect and repair across Beverly Hills, from the flats up into the canyons, and we leave a house tidier than we found it.
Send the details and we will get back to you the same day. We inspect first and price after, so the number we give you is the number you pay.

We cover sweeping, inspection and repair across Beverly Hills, from the flats below Santa Monica Boulevard up into Trousdale and the canyon streets north of Sunset.
Beverly Hills splits neatly into two worlds. The flats south of Sunset are level and tree-lined, block after block of substantial homes, many of them from the 1920s and 1930s and built to a standard that still shows. North of Sunset the ground rises fast into Trousdale, Benedict Canyon and the streets that climb toward the ridge, where the lots get bigger and the driveways get steeper.
The chimneys reflect the houses. A lot of these homes were built with more than one fireplace, sometimes a masonry stack in the living room and a second in a study or bedroom, and on the older estates the brickwork is genuine period masonry worth looking after properly. What most of them share is that they get lit rarely, which sounds harmless and is exactly where the trouble hides.
We work clean and we work quietly. On a home like this that is not a nice-to-have, it is the job. Floors and furnishings get covered before anything starts, and the visit is meant to leave no trace.
All of it is available across the city, and every job opens with an inspection.
Where everything else begins. You get photos and a plain read on the chimney's condition.
Crowns, mortar, flashing and flue liners. Careful work on period masonry stacks.
Flue cleared of creosote and soot, with the mess held in from start to finish.
Repointing joints, replacing spalled brick and rebuilding crowns, matched to older estate brick.
Caps and spark arrestors fitted right, which counts for more up in the canyons.
Firebox, damper and hearth work on the many rarely-used fireplaces here.

We hired Chimney Brothers to repair and rebuild two masonry fireplaces, including firebox and smoke chamber work, and we had a great experience overall. Joseph was involved from start to finish and was consistently on site, not just managing from a distance. He took the time to explain what was going on, answered questions clearly, and made sure the work was done right. It was reassuring to see him present and actively involved while the crew was working. The team showed up when they said they would, worked carefully, and didn’t rush through the job. When I had questions or wanted to look at specific areas, Joseph was patient and responsive, and made sure everything we discussed was addressed before wrapping up. The final result looks solid and well done, and the whole process felt transparent and professional. I appreciate the hands-on approach and would feel comfortable recommending Chimney Brothers to anyone who needs serious fireplace or chimney repair.Posted on Google![]()

I had the opportunity to work with joseph From Chimney Brothers on one of my rental properties. A previous tenant left the property in a bad condition. I called a couple different companies come out and inspect my fireplace, a few of them seemed fishy. I also checked The chimney brothers license and bond certificates to ensure they didn’t have any ongoing lawsuits or a bad rep with the CSLB. Joseph came and installed for me glass doors, custom gas logs and purged my smoke chamber. The job was done in a very quick and professional manner. They didn’t leave any debris and I was super impressed. I would definitely recommend them!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. Great experience, and I truly found a trustworthy company that I’m sure I’ll use in my next properties.Posted on Google![]()

Chimney services always comes with lots skepticism; it's not a usual services like plumbing, and it's not a necessity. Selecting CB is a right call. Joseph is pleasant to work with; he appears knowledgeable, considerate and delivered as promised. We took his advices and went through major works. The result and process is satisfactory. Highly recommend.Posted on Yelp![]()

Joseph was awesome. He came out to inspect the chimney on our first home and was on time, friendly and super knowledgeable. He walked us through everything, explained why the chimney needed a cleaning, and pointed out that the galvanized chase cover should be replaced to help prevent future water damage. As first-time homeowners, we really appreciated how informative and thorough he was. He took the time to answer all of our questions and explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. We left feeling much more confident and would definitely recommend Joseph and The Chimney Brothers!Posted on Yelp![]()

Needed to clean our chimney for our 1 story home which had been neglected for about 13 years. Joseph came and did a efficient evaluation and quote for not just a cleaning but also for resurfacing. We opted for just the cleaning at this time. Joseph again came out and did a quick and clean job, no hassle. He was kind and easy to talk to. Will definitely call Chimney Brothers when we are ready for the resurfacing.Posted on Yelp![]()

Our rampart-styled-design chimney had significant cracking all over from top to bottom. Inquired for a estimate to repair the cracking. Received a very competitive quote from C.B and approved the job. Joseph and his team member came promptly and explained the process, answered all our questions, then immediately got to work. They are extremely professional that after cement was filled in cracks they were able to reproduce the same exact lines and texture of chimney. They are highly efficient. The tuck pointing, repainting, and cap installation was all done on the same day. The outstanding quality is very evident from before and after pics. I will not hesitate one bit to contact them for all my chimney needs. Extremely satisfied!! Thank you C.B.Posted on Yelp![]()

Chimney Brothers are fantastic! Joseph came out to our house for a consultation and about a week later was back to install a new gas system with ceramic logs that was 1,000 times better than the existing system. He was super professional, courteous and performed excellent, clean work. We are beyond thrilled with the results. Thank you guys!
The pattern we run into most in Beverly Hills is the unused fireplace. A home has three or four of them, the family lights one on a cold night maybe twice a winter, and the rest sit cold for years. It feels like there is nothing to maintain. There usually is.
A flue that goes unused is a quiet home for birds, squirrels and nesting material, and that debris does not clear itself. Meanwhile the parts up on the roof carry on weathering whether a fire burns or not. The crown cracks, the mortar joints open, the cap rusts, and because nobody is using the fireplace, nobody notices until the day they finally light it and smoke comes back into a beautiful room.
The homes that change hands add to it. A chimney can go a decade between owners without anyone putting eyes up inside the flue, so the first real inspection often turns up years of quiet wear all at once.
The canyon streets bring the other consideration. North of Sunset, Trousdale and the hillside roads sit in a high fire hazard zone, and a sound spark arrestor on the cap is what keeps an ember in the flue. On a rarely-lit chimney that arrestor is exactly the part most likely to have rusted away unnoticed.
Call for the quickest answer, or send the form higher up the page and we will come back to you the same day.
Usually the same week. We cover the Westside regularly, so a Beverly Hills visit slots in without much wait. Call and we will give you the next open day.
Each flue is its own chimney, so yes, they are looked at individually. The good news is we do them in one visit. The ones that never get lit are often where we find a nest or a rusted cap, precisely because no one has had reason to look.
There is. An unused flue still collects debris and nesting, and the crown, cap and mortar keep weathering on the roof whether you burn a fire or not. A periodic inspection keeps a cold, quiet chimney from becoming an expensive surprise the one night you do light it.
Yes. Trousdale and the canyon streets sit in a high fire hazard zone, and a spark arrestor on the cap stops an ember leaving your flue for dry brush. On a rarely-used chimney it is often the first part to have quietly rusted through, so it is worth confirming.
Once a year if you burn wood, before the first cold night. If a fireplace is genuinely never used, a sweep and inspection every couple of years still keeps debris, nesting and roof-level wear in check.
No, and on a home like yours that is the whole point. Everything is covered before a tool comes out, the vacuum runs throughout, and the work area goes back exactly as we found it.
We look at it, you see the photos, then you get a written price. Call, or fill in the form above.
