We cover sweeping, inspection and repair across Burbank, from Magnolia Park and the Rancho to the Burbank Hills and the foothill streets above Glenoaks.
Burbank sits on the valley floor between the Verdugo hills and the LA River, and most of it is flat, gridded and walkable. Its oldest neighborhoods, Magnolia Park, the Rancho and the Media District blocks, are full of 1920s to 1950s bungalows and traditional homes, and the land only climbs at the north edge into the Burbank Hills and the streets above Glenoaks.
Those older homes carry older masonry chimneys, and their age is the main story. Crowns crack, mortar joints open and flue liners wear after decades of valley heat and the occasional quake. The hillside homes at the edge of town add brush-fire exposure to the same list.
Access is easy across most of Burbank, flat streets and reachable roofs, which keeps the visit quick. Up in the Burbank Hills the streets climb a bit, and we plan that access ahead rather than sort it in your driveway.
All of it is available across the neighborhood, and every job opens with an inspection.
Where every job starts. Photos and a plain read on the chimney's real condition.
Crowns, mortar, flashing and flue liners, standard work on Burbank's older masonry.
Flue cleared of creosote and soot, with the mess held in the whole visit.
Tracing a leak back to its source, usually a cracked crown or worn flashing here.
Caps and spark arrestors fitted right, keeping out rain, birds and embers.
Firebox, damper and hearth work on the older and remodeled fireplaces here.

We hired Chimney Brothers to repair and rebuild two masonry fireplaces, including firebox and smoke chamber work, and we had a great experience overall. Joseph was involved from start to finish and was consistently on site, not just managing from a distance. He took the time to explain what was going on, answered questions clearly, and made sure the work was done right. It was reassuring to see him present and actively involved while the crew was working. The team showed up when they said they would, worked carefully, and didn’t rush through the job. When I had questions or wanted to look at specific areas, Joseph was patient and responsive, and made sure everything we discussed was addressed before wrapping up. The final result looks solid and well done, and the whole process felt transparent and professional. I appreciate the hands-on approach and would feel comfortable recommending Chimney Brothers to anyone who needs serious fireplace or chimney repair.Posted on Google![]()

I just had the chimney Brothers install custom glass doors for me. Absolutely love the result! They also swept the chimney! Communication was great, time line was also pretty quick. I had the opportunity to work with joseph From Chimney Brothers on one of my rental properties. A previous tenant left the property in a bad condition. I called a couple different companies come out and inspect my fireplace, a few of them seemed fishy. I also checked The chimney brothers license and bond certificates to ensure they didn’t have any ongoing lawsuits or a bad rep with the CSLB. Joseph came and installed for me glass doors, custom gas logs and purged my smoke chamber. The job was done in a very quick and professional manner. They didn’t leave any debris and I was super impressed. I would definitely recommend them!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. Great experience, and I truly found a trustworthy company that I’m sure I’ll use in my next properties.Posted on Google![]()

Chimney services always comes with lots skepticism; it's not a usual services like plumbing, and it's not a necessity. Selecting CB is a right call. Joseph is pleasant to work with; he appears knowledgeable, considerate and delivered as promised. We took his advices and went through major works. The result and process is satisfactory. Highly recommend.Posted on Yelp![]()

Joseph was awesome. He came out to inspect the chimney on our first home and was on time, friendly and super knowledgeable. He walked us through everything, explained why the chimney needed a cleaning, and pointed out that the galvanized chase cover should be replaced to help prevent future water damage. As first-time homeowners, we really appreciated how informative and thorough he was. He took the time to answer all of our questions and explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. We left feeling much more confident and would definitely recommend Joseph and The Chimney Brothers!Posted on Yelp![]()

Needed to clean our chimney for our 1 story home which had been neglected for about 13 years. Joseph came and did a efficient evaluation and quote for not just a cleaning but also for resurfacing. We opted for just the cleaning at this time. Joseph again came out and did a quick and clean job, no hassle. He was kind and easy to talk to. Will definitely call Chimney Brothers when we are ready for the resurfacing.Posted on Yelp![]()

Our rampart-styled-design chimney had significant cracking all over from top to bottom. Inquired for a estimate to repair the cracking. Received a very competitive quote from C.B and approved the job. Joseph and his team member came promptly and explained the process, answered all our questions, then immediately got to work. They are extremely professional that after cement was filled in cracks they were able to reproduce the same exact lines and texture of chimney. They are highly efficient. The tuck pointing, repainting, and cap installation was all done on the same day. The outstanding quality is very evident from before and after pics. I will not hesitate one bit to contact them for all my chimney needs. Extremely satisfied!! Thank you C.B.Posted on Yelp![]()

Chimney Brothers are fantastic! Joseph came out to our house for a consultation and about a week later was back to install a new gas system with ceramic logs that was 1,000 times better than the existing system. He was super professional, courteous and performed excellent, clean work. We are beyond thrilled with the results. Thank you guys!
Most Burbank chimneys are older masonry, built anywhere from the 1920s through the 1950s in the bungalow neighborhoods, and age is what we read first. Old mortar loosens its grip, crowns crack and clay flue tiles wear, the ordinary result of decades on the roof.
The valley heat drives it along. Long hot summers and the occasional hard winter rain work masonry through constant expansion and contraction, opening crowns and joints and letting water begin to reach the brick. Once it does, the damage picks up speed.
At the north edge of town the Burbank Hills back onto brush, and a Santa Ana can push fire down the Verdugo slopes. For homes up there a sound spark arrestor on the cap is what keeps an ember inside the flue instead of out on the hillside.
You can check the basics from the yard. Look for a cracked crown, rust on the cap and white staining on the brick. If the mortar crumbles under a screwdriver, the chimney is ready for a proper look before you burn much more.
Call for the quickest answer, or send the form higher up the page and we will come back to you the same day.
Usually the same week, sometimes sooner. We are in Burbank and the nearby valley constantly, so a visit fits in easily. Call and we will give you the next open day and a tight arrival window.
Often yes, but age is the whole question. Old mortar, a cracked crown or a worn liner can let heat or water into the house. An inspection shows exactly where it stands, and we walk you through the photos.
Yes. The hillside streets back onto ground that can burn on a dry wind, and a spark arrestor keeps an ember from leaving your flue. If yours is missing or rusted, we would fit one before fire season.
Usually a cracked crown or worn flashing letting rain into the masonry. We trace it to the source and fix that rather than just cover the stain.
Once a year for most homes that burn wood, before the first cold night. Even light use builds creosote, and the yearly visit is when we catch a cracked crown or rusting cap early.
No. We cover everything before starting and run the vacuum throughout. You should not be able to tell we were there.
We look at it, you see the photos, then you get a written price. Call, or fill in the form above.
