We cover sweeping, inspection and repair across Santa Clarita, from Valencia and Stevenson Ranch to Saugus, Newhall and Canyon Country.
Santa Clarita is really several communities in one valley, Valencia, Saugus, Newhall and Canyon Country, most of them master-planned and built out from the 1970s through the 2000s. That means a lot of newer stucco tract homes, with older pockets down in Newhall and larger custom builds up toward Sand Canyon and Stevenson Ranch.
Because so much of it is newer, factory-built prefab fireplaces are common, metal fireboxes inside a framed chase rather than solid brick. They do the job, but they wear from the top down, and the chase cover, cap and spark arrestor are usually where problems begin. Older Newhall homes and custom estates bring more full masonry into the mix.
Access is generally easy on the tract streets and slower up the canyon and Sand Canyon roads. We confirm the roof access and timing before we come out rather than work it out in your driveway.
All of it is available across the neighborhood, and every job opens with an inspection.
Where every job starts. Photos and a plain read on the chimney or prefab firebox.
Crowns, mortar, chase covers and flue liners, on masonry and factory-built stacks alike.
Flue cleared of creosote and soot, with the mess held in the whole visit.
Tracing a leak back to its source, often a rusted chase cover or flashing here.
Caps and spark arrestors fitted right, which counts hard in this wind and brush.
Firebox, damper and hearth work on prefab and masonry fireplaces.

We hired Chimney Brothers to repair and rebuild two masonry fireplaces, including firebox and smoke chamber work, and we had a great experience overall. Joseph was involved from start to finish and was consistently on site, not just managing from a distance. He took the time to explain what was going on, answered questions clearly, and made sure the work was done right. It was reassuring to see him present and actively involved while the crew was working. The team showed up when they said they would, worked carefully, and didn’t rush through the job. When I had questions or wanted to look at specific areas, Joseph was patient and responsive, and made sure everything we discussed was addressed before wrapping up. The final result looks solid and well done, and the whole process felt transparent and professional. I appreciate the hands-on approach and would feel comfortable recommending Chimney Brothers to anyone who needs serious fireplace or chimney repair.Posted on Google![]()

I just had the chimney Brothers install custom glass doors for me. Absolutely love the result! They also swept the chimney! Communication was great, time line was also pretty quick. I had the opportunity to work with joseph From Chimney Brothers on one of my rental properties. A previous tenant left the property in a bad condition. I called a couple different companies come out and inspect my fireplace, a few of them seemed fishy. I also checked The chimney brothers license and bond certificates to ensure they didn’t have any ongoing lawsuits or a bad rep with the CSLB. Joseph came and installed for me glass doors, custom gas logs and purged my smoke chamber. The job was done in a very quick and professional manner. They didn’t leave any debris and I was super impressed. I would definitely recommend them!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. Great experience, and I truly found a trustworthy company that I’m sure I’ll use in my next properties.Posted on Google![]()

Chimney services always comes with lots skepticism; it's not a usual services like plumbing, and it's not a necessity. Selecting CB is a right call. Joseph is pleasant to work with; he appears knowledgeable, considerate and delivered as promised. We took his advices and went through major works. The result and process is satisfactory. Highly recommend.Posted on Yelp![]()

Joseph was awesome. He came out to inspect the chimney on our first home and was on time, friendly and super knowledgeable. He walked us through everything, explained why the chimney needed a cleaning, and pointed out that the galvanized chase cover should be replaced to help prevent future water damage. As first-time homeowners, we really appreciated how informative and thorough he was. He took the time to answer all of our questions and explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. We left feeling much more confident and would definitely recommend Joseph and The Chimney Brothers!Posted on Yelp![]()

Needed to clean our chimney for our 1 story home which had been neglected for about 13 years. Joseph came and did a efficient evaluation and quote for not just a cleaning but also for resurfacing. We opted for just the cleaning at this time. Joseph again came out and did a quick and clean job, no hassle. He was kind and easy to talk to. Will definitely call Chimney Brothers when we are ready for the resurfacing.Posted on Yelp![]()

Our rampart-styled-design chimney had significant cracking all over from top to bottom. Inquired for a estimate to repair the cracking. Received a very competitive quote from C.B and approved the job. Joseph and his team member came promptly and explained the process, answered all our questions, then immediately got to work. They are extremely professional that after cement was filled in cracks they were able to reproduce the same exact lines and texture of chimney. They are highly efficient. The tuck pointing, repainting, and cap installation was all done on the same day. The outstanding quality is very evident from before and after pics. I will not hesitate one bit to contact them for all my chimney needs. Extremely satisfied!! Thank you C.B.Posted on Yelp![]()

Chimney Brothers are fantastic! Joseph came out to our house for a consultation and about a week later was back to install a new gas system with ceramic logs that was 1,000 times better than the existing system. He was super professional, courteous and performed excellent, clean work. We are beyond thrilled with the results. Thank you guys!
Much of Santa Clarita was built in the prefab-fireplace era, so plenty of homes have a factory-built metal firebox inside a framed chase instead of a brick chimney. The trouble almost always starts up top, with a rusted chase cover, a failed storm collar or a damaged cap letting water down inside the chase.
The valley bakes in summer, and that dry heat is rough on metal fireboxes and their seals. Panels crack, dampers stick and gaskets harden, and you tend to find all of it the first cold night you go to light a fire.
Santa Clarita also takes some of the hardest Santa Ana winds in the county, and the brush around the valley has burned more than once. A sound spark arrestor on the cap is what keeps an ember inside your flue instead of out on a dry hillside.
You can check the basics from the yard. Look for rust streaks on the chase cover and damage on the cap. If you see staining down the chase or cracked firebox panels, have it looked at before the season starts.
Call for the quickest answer, or send the form higher up the page and we will come back to you the same day.
Usually the same week. We are up in the SCV regularly, so a Santa Clarita visit fits in without much wait. Call and we will give you the next open day and a real arrival window.
Yes, constantly. Prefab fireplaces need attention up top, the cap, chase cover and spark arrestor, plus the firebox panels and damper. We service both prefab and full masonry.
Yes. Santa Clarita sees strong Santa Anas and real brush-fire risk, and a spark arrestor keeps an ember from leaving your flue. If yours is missing or rusted through, we would fit one before fire season.
On a prefab chimney it is usually a rusted chase cover or failed collar letting water down the chase. We find the actual source and repair it rather than smear sealant over the top.
Once a year for most homes that burn wood, before the first cold night. Even light use lays down creosote, and the yearly visit is when we catch a worn cover or cracked panel early.
No. Everything gets covered before we start and the vacuum runs throughout. You should not be able to tell we were there.
We look at it, you see the photos, then you get a written price. Call, or fill in the form above.
