This is home for us. Our shop is in Woodland Hills, so a sweep, inspection or repair here is the shortest drive we make all week.
Send the details and we will get back to you the same day. We inspect first and price after, so the number we give you is the number you pay.

The Chimney Brothers are based in Woodland Hills, and we cover sweeping, inspection and repair right across it, from the Warner Center flats out to the hillside streets under the Santa Monica Mountains.
Woodland Hills is where we work out of, so we know how the area is laid out better than anywhere else we cover. The neighborhood sits at the west end of the Valley and it changes character as you move through it. Around Warner Center the ground is flat and the housing runs from postwar tract homes to newer condos and a handful of towers. Head south of Ventura and the streets start to climb, the lots get wider, and you end up on hillside properties backing onto open space.
Age is the thread that ties the chimneys together. A lot of this housing went up from the 1950s onward, and plenty of those stacks have had nothing more than a sweep in fifty years. On the hillside builds the roofs get steeper and the access gets slower, which we plan for rather than rush.
Being local has one plain benefit for you. Woodland Hills jobs tend to land the earliest slot on the schedule, because there is no cross-town drive standing between us and your roof.
All of it is available across the neighborhood, and every job opens with an inspection.
Where everything else begins. You get photos and a plain read on the chimney's condition.
Crowns, mortar, flashing and flue liners. The usual work on stacks of this age.
Flue cleared of creosote and soot, with the mess held in from start to finish.
Repointing and brickwork on the older masonry stacks common across the west Valley.
Caps and spark arrestors fitted right, which counts for more up in the fire zone.
Firebox, damper and hearth work on mid-century and remodeled fireplaces.

We hired Chimney Brothers to repair and rebuild two masonry fireplaces, including firebox and smoke chamber work, and we had a great experience overall. Joseph was involved from start to finish and was consistently on site, not just managing from a distance. He took the time to explain what was going on, answered questions clearly, and made sure the work was done right. It was reassuring to see him present and actively involved while the crew was working. The team showed up when they said they would, worked carefully, and didn’t rush through the job. When I had questions or wanted to look at specific areas, Joseph was patient and responsive, and made sure everything we discussed was addressed before wrapping up. The final result looks solid and well done, and the whole process felt transparent and professional. I appreciate the hands-on approach and would feel comfortable recommending Chimney Brothers to anyone who needs serious fireplace or chimney repair.Posted on Google![]()

I had the opportunity to work with joseph From Chimney Brothers on one of my rental properties. A previous tenant left the property in a bad condition. I called a couple different companies come out and inspect my fireplace, a few of them seemed fishy. I also checked The chimney brothers license and bond certificates to ensure they didn’t have any ongoing lawsuits or a bad rep with the CSLB. Joseph came and installed for me glass doors, custom gas logs and purged my smoke chamber. The job was done in a very quick and professional manner. They didn’t leave any debris and I was super impressed. I would definitely recommend them!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. Great experience, and I truly found a trustworthy company that I’m sure I’ll use in my next properties.Posted on Google![]()

Chimney services always comes with lots skepticism; it's not a usual services like plumbing, and it's not a necessity. Selecting CB is a right call. Joseph is pleasant to work with; he appears knowledgeable, considerate and delivered as promised. We took his advices and went through major works. The result and process is satisfactory. Highly recommend.Posted on Yelp![]()

Joseph was awesome. He came out to inspect the chimney on our first home and was on time, friendly and super knowledgeable. He walked us through everything, explained why the chimney needed a cleaning, and pointed out that the galvanized chase cover should be replaced to help prevent future water damage. As first-time homeowners, we really appreciated how informative and thorough he was. He took the time to answer all of our questions and explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. We left feeling much more confident and would definitely recommend Joseph and The Chimney Brothers!Posted on Yelp![]()

Needed to clean our chimney for our 1 story home which had been neglected for about 13 years. Joseph came and did a efficient evaluation and quote for not just a cleaning but also for resurfacing. We opted for just the cleaning at this time. Joseph again came out and did a quick and clean job, no hassle. He was kind and easy to talk to. Will definitely call Chimney Brothers when we are ready for the resurfacing.Posted on Yelp![]()

Our rampart-styled-design chimney had significant cracking all over from top to bottom. Inquired for a estimate to repair the cracking. Received a very competitive quote from C.B and approved the job. Joseph and his team member came promptly and explained the process, answered all our questions, then immediately got to work. They are extremely professional that after cement was filled in cracks they were able to reproduce the same exact lines and texture of chimney. They are highly efficient. The tuck pointing, repainting, and cap installation was all done on the same day. The outstanding quality is very evident from before and after pics. I will not hesitate one bit to contact them for all my chimney needs. Extremely satisfied!! Thank you C.B.Posted on Yelp![]()

Chimney Brothers are fantastic! Joseph came out to our house for a consultation and about a week later was back to install a new gas system with ceramic logs that was 1,000 times better than the existing system. He was super professional, courteous and performed excellent, clean work. We are beyond thrilled with the results. Thank you guys!
Woodland Hills posts the highest temperatures in Los Angeles more often than anywhere else. The weather station at Pierce College has recorded readings past 110 degrees, and on the worst days of summer this is the hottest ground in the county. The neighborhood sits in a pocket at the far west end of the Valley where the heat settles and stays.
That heat works on masonry harder than most people think. Brick and mortar swell when they bake and shrink back when the night cools them, and a chimney crown out on an open roof rides that swing every single day for months. When the first real rain of the season finally lands, it runs straight into the hairline cracks the heat has been opening all summer.
You can check part of it yourself without a ladder. Drag a screwdriver along any mortar joint you can reach. If it crumbles under light pressure, the stack has reached the point where it wants a proper look.
The hillside adds a second thing to watch. Streets south of Ventura sit in a very high fire hazard zone against the Santa Monica Mountains, and a sound spark arrestor on the cap is what keeps an ember from leaving your flue and landing in dry brush.
Call for the quickest answer, or send the form higher up the page and we will come back to you the same day.
Faster than almost anywhere. Our shop is right here in Woodland Hills, so there is no drive across the city to slow us down. Call and we will usually get you on the schedule the same week.
It does, and Woodland Hills gets more of it than the rest of LA. Months of brick expanding in the heat and contracting overnight opens fine cracks in the crown and the mortar. The damage tends to show up when the first heavy rain of the season finds those cracks and starts letting water in.
Yes, and it matters more here than most places. The hillside streets sit in a very high fire hazard zone, and a spark arrestor on the cap stops an ember drifting out of your flue into dry brush. If yours is rusted through or missing, that is worth fixing before the fire season.
An inspection. On a stack that old we want eyes on the crown, the mortar joints and the flue liner before anything else. You get photos of what we find and a straight answer on what actually needs doing.
Once a year for most homes, ideally before the first cold night. Light use of the fireplace does not get you a pass. Nesting, debris and creosote build on their own timeline.
No. Everything gets covered before a tool comes out, and the vacuum runs the whole visit. You should not be able to tell we were there.
We look at it, you see the photos, then you get a written price. Call, or fill in the form above.
